Hollie Leggett is an artist and researcher working across immersive media, spatial computing, and environmental data visualization. She is a Spatial Computing / VR Programmer at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), where she contributes to a federally funded (DoD/CRREL) research initiative developing immersive tools to document permafrost thaw and infrastructure risk in Arctic Alaska. Her work merges XR, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and spatial video to build multi-platform visualizations that serve both scientific communities and public audiences.

Hollie’s creative practice draws from critical media theory, field research, and personal memory. She creates installations, performances, and wearables that translate surveillance systems, machine learning, and archival data into sensory experiences. Through this work, she examines how technologies of observation shape identity, agency, and connection—especially in environments where bodies and landscapes are made legible through measurement.

Her projects have been supported by institutions including the Department of Defense, the Andy Warhol Foundation, and the BrandLab, and presented at the Web3D Conference in Siena and Arctic Frontiers in Tromsø. Hollie holds a BFA in Web + Multimedia Environments from MCAD, where she continues to research digital preservation, XR storytelling, and the aesthetics of critical infrastructure.
